Vermont Police Academy 3/25/08 (Tuesday)

We will be traveling to the Vermont State Police Acadmy (VPA) to work with the cadets on this day. Remond parents about this trip (although we have permission slips on file). The bus will leave at 7:15 (sharp) and return around 3:00. Lunch will be provided by the VPA. We will be in one of the academy's out buildings that is not heated so dress accordingly. See Mr. P. if ou have any questions.

Class will meet in the courtyard on Wednesday promptly at 11:05. Be preapard to ask questions..

HOMEWORK DUE TUESDAY 3/15/08

Read both articles from the Rutland Herald handed out in Monday's class. Write a summary of the article titled, "Officials seek other deterrents in fight against drug trade" to include at least one (1) deterrent that you believe would benefit drug related crimes in Rutland. THIS IS DUE TUESDAY. Papers received after Teusday will be graded late.

Quiz on Chapter One. Review the chapter readings, powerpoint notes, and case studies. You will want to review :

Miranda, Criminal Justice and the laws, and The Frey Standard/Daubert Ruling. There will be some multiple choice, and essay type questions on the quiz. We will discuss this in class on Thursday.
